A rare chance to catch Irish songwriter Rory Grubb on stage with his band in Berlin. With lyrical wit and emotive arrangements, Grubb carefully crafts deeply personal, yet universally-appealing songs. Delivering them in his unrushed, laid-back way, he will be joined on stage by a trio of multi-talented, multi-tasking friends, who swap between a range of acoustic instruments (sax, piano, clarinet, guitar, drones). The result is a soothing and intoxicating musical navigation – sometimes dark, often humorous, and always imbued with a timeless and satisfying melancholy.

Grubb’s offbeat approach over the years has brought him touring at festivals in Europe and North America, collaborations with theatre productions and visual artists. His most recent album, 13351, was championed by Guy Garvey and Stuart Maconie on BBC Radio. He also has an experimental side, often incorporating his own custom-built instruments to build textured soundscapes and loops on stage.
